Different Strokes on Multicore Adoption

Generally, it would appear that engineers moving from a single core to a dual core device try to get by, by making software partitions manually simply on a task-level allocation. However, while this approach may work for two cores, beyond that and when hardware accelerators are involved, you need to adopt a more top-down method, and use a structured partitioning tool in order to make an efficient and robust implementation.
