HR Manager (Part-time)

We are looking for a dynamic and dedicated individual to establish our Human Resources Department. Today, as with many start-ups, the HR activities have been driven by the CEO and Office Manager. As our organization is growing this no longer provides an adequate setup for the management, planning and support of the core value of the company: its employees. The work of the HR Manager will cover the standard tasks such as further defining the compensation and benefits plan, recruiting and organizational planning. One of the key tasks of the HR Manager will be to support our staff in managing their growth and identifying the right path forward fitting their skills and expertise. This should be supported through proper planning, education and performance tracking. At Vector Fabrics we believe that the individual employees are the core value of the company and ensuring their proper place in the organization as well as their professional growth is key to a high-performance innovative organization. The Human Resource Manager is responsible for establishing and further developing the proper systems that implement these objectives. The position of HR Manager will initially require 2 days per week over the first 3-6 months after which it is expected to fall back to 1 day a week.

Senior Adobe Flex/Java Developer

We are looking for an experienced user interface developer to join the development team. You will work with the team to present our advanced parallelization technology in an intuitive and visually attractive way to the user. This is not your typical Flex programming role – our cloud-based user interface is a complex Flex application with many highly technical components. We are looking for someone who is a well-rounded computer scientist in addition to a Flex developer. This would be demonstrated by a CS degree, knowledge of more traditional programming environments or projects that show deep engineering ability. We prefer candidates who have worked on impressive user interfaces that they can demonstrate to us. Furthermore candidates should posses a keen product sense and be able to contribute good ideas for improving the product.
